Plunkett Foundation
The Plunkett Foundation is an educational charity which improves the livelihoods of rural residents through co-operative and social enterprise. The Plunkett Foundation was established in 1919 and, whilst always having been UK-based, has promoted and developed these forms of enterprise in more than 50 countries worldwide.

North West Rural Community Councils
The North West Rural Community Councils is an organisation comprising Voluntary Action Cumbria, Community Futures and Cheshire Community Council.
Voluntary Action Cumbria (VAC)
VAC works with people and communities to improve the quality of life in rural Cumbria. As a Rural Community Council, their primary role is to support and address the needs of the County’s rural communities and residents. VAC helps individuals, community groups, voluntary bodies, small businesses and local statutory organisations (such as Parish Councils) on a daily basis by offering advice, support, understanding and advocacy.

Community Futures, Lancashire
The role of Community Futures, Lancashire is to develop and support balanced and sustainable communities in the sub region. Community Futures aims to promote and develop social, economic, cultural and community activity in Lancashire, working through voluntary groups and in partnership with public authorities.

Cheshire Community Council
Cheshire Community Council’s aim is to improve the quality of life of people living in rural Cheshire. This is achieved by encouraging self-reliance and self-help at community level whilst at the same time ensuring that rural needs are identified and addressed at district, county, regional and national level.
